Band Name = Gabrielle Jackson Genre = Alternative Band Bio =organ and piano keyboard and vocals on classic rock tunes...r & b and jazz style.Gabrielle Jackson is a 19-year old self-taught singer-songwriter hailing from Albuquerque, NM. Coming from a musical household, Gabrielle is classically trained, she played viola for 6 years before switching to guitar. Always a poet, her writing moved to songwriting. Her style draws from her favorite genres including hip-hop, jazz, R&B, and soul which helped her mold her own unique, lilting, but powerful vocal style. Gabrielle has been emerging on the local music scene, playing at the Outpost Performance Space, the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, and home at Warehouse 508 Teen Arts center. Of public acclaim, in 2013 Gabrielle competed in Orlando, FL NAACP ACT-SO talent contest and placed 3rd before a panel of industry professionals against 60 competitors. She is currently recording her original music at 508 Records in Albuquerque, for release in May 2015.
