Philip John Brooks is a singer/songwriter/guitarist. Growing up in the windswept fishing village of Fleetwood on the far northwestern coast of England, Philip experienced a unique view of life. He learned the dangers and trials of trawler fishing from his father and fishermen around the home hearth. It is from the heart and soul that he writes of these men, the unforgiving sea, and the places and events remembered from growing up there. Music has always been the backdrop of his life. His musical ambitions were fueled by the "skiffle" craze. Age fifteen found him recording in Decca studios in London as the lead guitarist of the award winning rock band, the Blue Beats |
