Band Name = Civility's End Genre = Modern Rock Band Bio = Civility’s End is the music of guitarist and songwriter J. Eddie Edwards. Eddie never planned to be a musician and didn’t even pick up a guitar until his early 20s. Skipping the typical path of musicians, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Systems Engineering and a masters in Industrial Engineering. Eddie served as an officer in the US Army and formed the band 11West with fellow service members to play outside Fort Bliss, Texas. They played covers from influences like STP, early Def Leppard, Judas Priest, and Nirvana. In time, his own material intensified with harder riffs and engaging lyrical content. |

In 2009, Eddie teamed up with Wavelength Guitars to engineer his signature guitar “Bruce.” Upon its completion, Eddie hit the studio after his everyday 9 to 5 job. He self-produced “The Start of the End” performing all guitars, bass, and vocals with Phil Robertson on the drums. A year later, the hard work culminated into the much anticipated debut album. Eddie notes “This album is not going to feature radio ready sappy love songs, songs about remembering some crap high school days, or songs about getting wasted every night. I will leave that to the rest of the music industry. Hollywood wants us to think reality is being a shallow supermodel, living worry free, fighting for a prize on a show. I think the majority of us are hard working people living a harder reality while knowing we can be better... while being held back by thieves, political opportunists, and self-gratifying elitists. Civility is over. The everyday silent majority are ready and must speak up. I wanted a simple and raw album to capture that and it felt right to do it.” The Start of the End is Civility’s End independent debut set for release on 10-10-10. “Some want to believe the end is 12-12-12. I thought I’d have fun at their expense and release ‘The Start of the End’ on 10-10-10. That gives us 792 days to have some fun. If my music career lasts until then, it will be 792 days more than I ever planned on. See you 12-13-12.” Band Members = J. Eddie Edwards |
